South Shields Gala Weekend - 17th May 2009
With only one performer, Charlotte Webb, turning out for this competition our main interest was in the Sunday of this gala weekend. Competing again in the Youth Girls (U15) National C, Charlotte continues to improve and show her competitive instincts. Lying in 14th place after a disappointing set round Charlotte dug in and pulled up an amazing 8 places to 6th place after the voluntary. With the final scores zeroed Charlotte was no longer hampered by her set scores and based on her voluntary round scores (joint 2nd of those finalling) she had every change of a podium position - unfortunately a minor error cost her dearly and she ended in 4th place overall 0.7 behind the winner and 0.3 behind the second placed performer.
