Hannah McCann in Perth

Competition Results

Recent weeks have seen Brentwood Trampoline Club achieving success at all levels as they first hosted a large Open Competition and then attended a Regional Grading in Ipswich and a Grade 2 National competition in Perth, Scotland. With 32 of the club’s competitors involved, 30 at Brentwood, 12 at Ipswich and 1 at Perth – they managed to amass an amazing 27 medals or trophies (better than 60% success rate) and 22 new personal best scores (just over 50%). Although many performances were notable the star was undoubtedly 10 year-old Hannah McCann who, starting the year in grade 4 competition, competed in Perth in her first formal grade 2 under-13 competition and not only won but also qualified to the national finals in November.

Other credits go to 14 year-old Chrissie Law, winning both of her under-15 grade 3’s, 12 year-old Harry Gannon, winning both his under-13 grade 3’s and qualification to grade 2 (having also started the year in grade 4), 12 year-old Heidi Bartlett winning both of her (first ever) competitions at grade 5 and qualification to grade 4, and 5 year-old Lauren Bembrick-Taylor finishing in 4th place (of 20) in the under-9 grade 6 in her first competition.

One of the club's coaches, Graham Parker, commented "I think our competitive members are performing well now, particularly on a technical level, although we must not rest on our laurels. Our objective must be to continue to set high standards and to see that rewarded with even more success in future. Congratulations and thanks as well to our many volunteers who organised a highly professional Open competition."
